1. What Paros is
Paros is a technology platform that lets people post requests and offers of help ("paros") inside communities: rides, errands, lending or renting gear, favors, company and services in general. Paros does NOT provide those services, does not employ the people who provide them, and is not a party to the agreements between users.
2. Acceptance
By using the Paros app or the paros.mx site, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
3. Registration and accounts
You must provide truthful information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity carried out from it. You must be of legal age under Mexican law.
4. User responsibilities
Whoever posts a paro is responsible for the accuracy of what they post. Whoever accepts it is responsible for carrying it out with appropriate quality and safety, and for their own tax obligations when they charge for it. Both parties are responsible for assessing who they deal with and for behaving respectfully within the community.
5. Payments between users
Paros does not process payments, does not hold funds and takes no commission. The payment method (cash, trade, favor or free) is agreed directly between users and its fulfillment is their responsibility.
6. Content policy
Posting illegal, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit or misleading content, or content that infringes third-party rights, is prohibited, as is using the platform for activities prohibited by law. Paros may remove content and suspend accounts without prior notice when these terms are violated.
7. Limitation of liability
Paros acts solely as a technology intermediary. It does not run background checks on users, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or fulfillment of agreed paros, nor the accuracy of posted information. To the maximum extent permitted by Mexican law, Paros will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or from agreements between users.
8. Dispute resolution
Disputes between users must be resolved between the parties involved. Paros may, at its discretion, facilitate communication, but does not arbitrate disputes. For disputes with Paros, the parties submit to the competent courts of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, waiving any other jurisdiction that might apply to them.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, including the Federal Consumer Protection Law and the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
10. Changes
Paros may modify these terms. Changes take effect upon publication. Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the changes.
